You may have heard that recently we ran a competition to find the next ‘face’ of Download to present our cool podcast The Lowdown in association with Kerrang!.

Fans sent us 30 second clips of themselves presenting, and we put them up on our special Facebook fan page for you lot to cast your beady eyes over.

A shortlist was chosen to come to London for the next stage of the competition, where by we selected our winner: who turned out to be Adam!

Now then, pay attention, because this is the important bit. This is what you need to know if you wanna take part…

To enter, all you need to do it is upload a maximum 30 second clip on YouTube then send the link to us at downloadfestival@livenation.co.uk together with your full name, address, age and mobile number between now and 5pm Friday 7th May.

Whether talking, miming, shouting or singing about your favourite band or Download festival moment (or any other related subject that won’t have you committed), the Download Festival and KERRANG! are looking for a one-off individual with charisma and energy whose first job will be to report on the Download Festival.

We’ll put our favourites on our Facebook Lowdown competition page where our community will then have the opportunity to click if they like your post and also comment - so make sure you’re ready to take the good with the bad.

We’ll then determine the 5 best entries based on a combination of the following criteria:

• The most people clicking that they like the post
• Camera presence: how comfortable you appear in front of the camera and how well your information is conveyed
• General charisma

So, the sooner you submit your video the more time you have for peeps to see your entry.

The 5 finalists will then be announced on Tuesday 11th May, whereby they will be required to travel to London (we’ll pick up the travel costs) on Friday 14th May for a final interview with the Download Festival team. We’ll then announce the winner as “AWESOME” on Tuesday 18th May.

If you wish to enter you must be a UK resident over 14 years old (parental consent is required for entrants aged between 14-18).

If you win you’ll be required to provide a video podcast to the Download Festival online community prior to the event, as well as daily coverage of the Download Festival itself. At the festival, you’ll be given hotel accommodation, press accreditation, and provided with full editorial support; enabling you to record interviews with bands and fans, and complete video blogs across the weekend. Oh, and you’ll see the festival as you’ve never seen it before!

Our 4 runners up will also receive a pair of VIP weekend tickets each.
