Download Festival 2012

Following FFDP’s notorious Main Stage set at Download 2010, the band took to the studio to work on their third album American Capitalist, which was released at the end of last year.

Last year, the internet went up in flames with the news that the original Back Sabbath line up were back together and due to head out on a huge European tour in 2012 - with a headline slot at Download Festival being the highlight on the schedule.

It’s been a couple of weeks since our last announcement, and with the sun in the sky (just about) and less than 4 months until Download 2012, we decided to go and add a handful more bands to the line up. We’re nice like that, see.

With less than 4 months until the Download 2012 gates open for another year of mayhem, we’re pleased to announce that day tickets for the event are on sale now.

Behatted guitar hero Slash is currently in the studio, adding the finishing touches to his second solo album – and he’s planning on releasing it just before he comes to Download this summer!

We never rest here at Download HQ – not content with having headliners The Prodigy, Metallica and Black Sabbath on the Download 2012 poster, we’ve gone and added a further 14 bands to our 10th anniversary line-up.
