Australia’s finest export AC/DC were formed in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, and are considered a pioneer of heavy metal.
They released their first album High Voltage in 1975 followed by the highly successful album Highway to Hell in 1979. After a turbulent year the band released their best-selling album Back in Black in 1980 which to date has sold an estimated 45 million units worldwide.
In 2008 their first studio release in eight years came to light. Black Ice made history debuting at No 1 on the album charts in 29 countries.
This will be AC/DC’s fourth time at Donington since their first at Monsters of Rock in 1981.
