Stone Sour was founded by Corey Taylor, vocalist of Slipknot, and former drummer Joel Ekman way back in 1992, and the band have played at three previous Downloads - in 2003, 2006 and 2007.

The post-grungers from Des Moines are always a Donington favourite due to their powerful live performances and catalogue of tunes from two incredible studio albums, with a third due out in August this year.

Prepare for some classic Stone Sour hits and a sneak preview of new material at Download 2010.

"I can't wait to get Stone Sour back to Download," said Corey Taylor. "We've always had a good time there and something special always happens.

"There should be chaos, there should be disorder, and I may take my pants off. No promises..."
