Porcupine Tree is unquestionably one of the most difficult-to-categorize and innovative bands working today.
Fronted by Steven Wilson, who is also well-known for his work producing other artists such as Swedish Progressive Metal group Opeth amongst others Porcupine Tree formed in 1987 out of Hertfordshire.
Their 2007 album Fear of a Blank Planet was nominated for a Grammy Award. Their tenth studio album The Incident was released through Roadrunner in September 2009.
This will be their second Download appearance with their first in 2007.
The Download Festival is the UK’s premier Rock Festival. A mammoth 5 day rock event, based at the spiritual home of rock - Donington Park.
