RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE
Saturday 12 June 21:00 - 22:30

Considered the forefathers of the whole rap-rock fusion movement, double Grammy-winning Rage Against The Machine burst onto the music scene with their hugely influential debut album, which contained the single Killing In The Name with the infamous ‘F*ck you I won’t do what you tell me’ refrain.
Renowned for their lyrics and political activism, the video for the song Sleep Now In The Fire was filmed by Michael Moore outside the New York Stock Exchange, leading to them being escorted off the premises.
Although Rage have never played Download or Donington before, the band remain one of the most popular and influential political bands in contemporary music, and were presented with the Hall Of Fame Award by Kerrang! Magazine in 2008.
"Due to the insane demand for tickets for the free Rage show in Finsbury Park, we have decided to jump on this year's Download Festival as well and spread The Rage Factor around the country a bit," said lead guitarist Tom Morello. "Here we come, muthafuckers!!"
The Download Festival is the UK’s premier Rock Festival. A mammoth 5 day rock event, based at the spiritual home of rock - Donington Park.
